The 2025 flower season was full of color, creativity, and the simple joy of sharing local, pesticide-free blooms. From harvest days to arranging CSA bouquets, each week brought new beauty to the farm. Step into a look back at last season’s flowers.

What started as a dream and a few handfuls of gifted plants has grown into a full-blown love affair with dahlias. From our first 40 plants to the 375 we cared for in 2025, these blooms have shaped our farm in the most unexpected ways. In this post, I’m sharing how our dahlia journey began, how it evolved, and why these so-called “divas” have completely captured my heart.

As the fields rest and we dream through winter, we’re busy planning a season that feels deeply aligned with why we farm in the first place: nourishing people, stewarding the land, and celebrating the quiet magic of seasonal abundance.

The end is here, and although bittersweet, we are thrilled to have delivered another year full of delicious, organically grown produce. We successfully assembled over 150+ boxes this year and love knowing that we fed all of you pesticide-free, nutrient dense, fresh produce and herbs. Hopefully you shared the wealth with family and friends and enjoyed trying some things or varieties that you wouldn’t have normally picked up at your local grocery store or market. Community supported agriculture (CSA) is a fundamental way to support small farms and to take a more active and personal connection to the food you eat. We thank you for taking a chance and embarking on this adventure with us. Growing your own food is a magical experience that makes you so much more connected to the land, a heightened awareness of the climate and precipitation in your area, the seasonality of what shows up on your plate, and the excitement of finding or cooking a new recipe.

The time has finally come to start the process of putting the garden to rest. The last two months have presented some unique challenges from pest pressure to a lack or rain, and general burnout as we try to get every task done. This time of year is incredibly busy since seed picking in the prairie tends to take priority. Luckily, the end is in sight and we are feeling particularly inspired by all of the great memories and progress we made this year!
