CSA Kicks off on June 9th!
This year has been a new adventure brought on by a wet and stormy spring. Things are moving along swimmingly and we can’t wait to return to serving our CSA customers plenty of produce and flowers from June to October! If you aren’t a subscriber but still want farm goodies please reach out and we would love to accommodate.
WE MOVED:
2024 has already been a year of exponential growth and change for us. We left our apartment in Rogers Park behind for a bigger nest in the burbs. Not only did we start planting into a new section of the garden we call Jurassic Park, that nearly doubles the footprint of growing space, but we also bought a house in Spring Grove! For many of you, this means closer pickups that shaves about 25+ minutes off the drive to the farm in Harvard. This also made April and May far more hectic than anticipated as we strived to get settled as fast as possible so we could again focus our attention on production.

Woodstock Pride - June 8-9th, 2024 | Woodstock, IL
Chain O’Lakes State Park - Less than 5 minutes from our new home is one of the most majestic parks that Illinois has to offer. We were both blown away by the nature and wildlife on the hike we took. Highly recommend!
4th Fridays at the Starline - June 28, 2024 - In the suburbs, culture sometimes feels hard to find. This monthly art exhibition takes place in a historic space, offers booze, and live music. If you ever want to attend we would be happy to coordinate a pickup and join you for the festivities.

Please take note of the following weekends as this is when produce, flowers, and compost services will be scheduled. We can be flexible though and are always happy to work with our customers so they can enjoy the fruitful bounty at its freshest. See here for a full list.

Currently the best time to pickup on Sundays at the farm is 2-4pm. If you plan to meet us in Spring Grove pickups will typically be from 5-7pm. Please plan on coordinating with us so we can accommodate your needs.

We are so grateful that we still have customers in the city! We will continue to utilize Monday evenings as our primary drop-off window, but as always let us know if you have conflicts or special requests. Our next city dates are as follows:

Please be aware that we may reach out throughout the season when there is surplus or we have chances of additional delivery options. We want the things we grow to go to good use!

We are on the farm almost every weekend but plan to invite guests who want to dig in and get their hands dirty on the following days. Everyone could use a little help now and again. After all, It takes a village, no?

Love Mushrooms?
This year we are anticipating a shroom-boom! We loaded a ton of logs with mycelium and are starting to see the fruits of our labor. We inoculated a wide variety in 2022/2023 and are excited to start cooking, eating, and sharing them with friends of the farm. Our culinary subscribers will be seeing some of these in their boxes but we know not everyone is into fungi. Trust us, they grow on you!

We had a few things finish early and will be spreading the bounty around as soon as possible! Lettuce, spinach, and radishes coming soon to a kitchen near you.
